Vietnam to Require Mandatory Health Declarations for Travelers from 01 July
Starting from 1 July 2026, Vietnam will require health declarations for certain inbound, outbound and transit travelers, in accordance with the new regulations under Decree No. 165.
Depending on the disease situation and guidance from the Ministry of Health, travelers may be required to submit a health declaration before entering, leaving or transiting through Vietnam.
What travelers should note:
✅ Health declarations may be submitted electronically or in paper form
✅ The form will be available in Vietnamese and English
✅ The declaration must be completed within 7 days before entry, exit or transit
✅ Travelers may be asked to provide vaccination proof or other preventive health documents if required
✅ Border quarantine officers may conduct temperature checks, health monitoring and further inspection if there are suspected infectious disease signs
For foreigners living, working or traveling in Vietnam, it is important to stay updated and prepare the required documents before your travel date to avoid delays at the border gate or airport.
If you are planning to enter, exit or transit through Vietnam from July 2026, make sure to check the latest requirements before your trip.
